About me.
I'm Itamar, a penetration tester, cybersecurity expert, and an enthusiastic learner. Based in Zikhron Yaakov, Israel, I split my time between breaking things and building things.
My path into security wasn't conventional — it started with algorithms and front-end development, wound through Python scripting and Linux administration, and eventually led to offensive security. Each step gave me a different lens through which to understand systems.
"I don't like building things just for show. I want them to do something real."
Today I focus on practical security tools and penetration testing — finding vulnerabilities, building proof-of-concept exploits, and creating tools that help others learn. When I'm not hacking, I'm coding.
Outside of tech, I'm deep into endurance sports — currently training for an Ironman, balancing swim/bike/run with everything else. I believe the discipline from training carries into every part of life, from how I approach learning to how I build projects.
I also like writing. I'm starting to document what I learn, what I think about, and what I'm working on. Eventually this might become a newsletter or even a book — we'll see where it goes.
